Research interests

My research addresses the development of efficient methods for processing and temporally analyzing of large data and event streams. In particular, new temporal database systems are designed and prototypically implemented, which support an effective management of large time series and offer powerful query capabilities. In addition, techniques for real-time analysis of data streams are examined and adapted to fulfill the latency requirements of new applications.

Furthermore, my research focuses on the development of new methods for the acquisition, management and analysis of data from scientific applications. Solutions and interactive tools are designed and implemented on the basis of federated infrastructures for geo-spatial data and biodiversity data.
