Research interests

We investigate the neuronal mechanisms of neuroticism and extraversion, trait-fearfulness, anxiety disorders and depression with an emphasis on fear acquisition via associative learning mechanisms, reward-. Threat- und feedback processing, as well as brain-heart covariation. We use different EEG analysis methods ranging from single-trial EEG over time-frequency to source localization and event-related potentials, combined EEG-fMRI, peripheral physiology, psychopharmacology, molecular genetics and established psychological assessment methods.
