Research interests

My current research is focused on the neural correlates of perception (e.g., action, space, time, causality, social cues), memory (e.g., episodic memory, conditioning, priming), and communication (gesture, speech, semantics) as well as disturbances of these functions in psychiatric disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, panic disorder). Specifically, I am concerned with the impact of the motor system on the neural correlates of multisensory perception.
My goal is to answer the question how predictive mechanisms are represented in the brain to facilitate action and perception in a multisensory context.
